Freedom of Information (FOI)
We’re committed to openness and transparency. We routinely make a wide range of information available to the public to increase understanding of how the Parliament works. You should be aware that information which you process may be released to individuals or the wider public in accordance with this commitment and under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Certain information, however, must be safeguarded.
Looking after your personal data
Like all employers, we need to process personal information relating to you as an employee. We have published a Worker Privacy Notice (intranet link) for SPCB employees that sets out what personal data we process, the reasons why, and the legal basis upon which we are allowed to process this information. This sits under the Privacy Notices section of the intranet.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (the DPA) together form a new framework for regulating the processing of personal data. More information on how the SPCB ensures that it complies with data protection legislation can be found here.
